However, in late 2021 the restaurant was forced to close due to contractual complications, according to a Facebook post. Since then, the duo has been working hard on building a new location just down the street, at 1204 Buchanan St., in collaboration with Centric Architecture.

The new location is slated to open by mid-June of this year, according to Leon.

What Now Nashville spoke with owner Leon about the effort that has gone into the new build for TrapHouse Wingz’s new home.

“Our original location was on Buchanan Street inside of the market. It was a very rough location, but it served its purpose as a proof of concept. It exploded with support coming from all over. But, we are definitely excited to be reopening in the Buchanan in the Arts District alongside Slim and Husky’s, as well as Minerva and Willie B’s,” Leon said in an interview.

“The new location will be very art-inspired to match the neighborhood,” said Leon.

The TrapHouse Wingz menu will offer a variety of comfort food, including their well-loved smash burger, “The Kilo Burger,” “The Clucker Sammich” fried chicken sandwich, and the “The B Pudding,” homemade banana pudding.
