Cyanide Cider is projected to open by the end of 2023 or early 2024, however, it is too early in the process to determine an exact grand opening timeline. The name of the business hails from the same name of a cider that Crazy Gnome offers at its taproom.

According to a recent permit, the cost of the build-out for Cyanide Cider will be approximately $200,000. The customer-facing taproom space will be about 530 square feet.

“We make our dry cider from not-from-concentrate juice and refrain from using any additional sugars or sweeteners in the final product,” Miller told the Nashville Post. “Our taproom takes a blend-in-glass approach, allowing the consumer to explore their creativity and empower them to craft their perfect cider to their own tastes.”

What Now Nashville spoke with Miller about the details around the unique menu offerings at Cyanide Cider.

“Cider is a cool product in that it’s almost closer to a spirit than it is beer or wine. We’re taking an approach with our cider for it to be delicious on its own while also putting the blending power in your hands as the customer. We want to allow you to take our core-produced cider and blend it with whatever will appeal to your palette. We won’t do flights of cider, instead, we’ll offer mixing stations for you to curate your drink,” Miller said in a phone call.

Miller is no stranger to the brewing process, having opened Crazy Gnome Brewery in 2020 and began his brewmaster journey at just 20 years old. This new project will exclusively produce cider, but some of Crazy Gnome’s beers will be on tap. Guests can also expect local food trucks to be seen on-site.

Customers can keep up to date with the opening progress of the new business on Cyanide Cider’s website and Instagram.
